Subtlety

#1003, 24"h x 18"w.
Going for a more subtle color palette with emphasis on grey. Greys are the most difficult colors to produce in this technique, and I'm still working on developing more. I became fascinated by the relationship of the greys and greens while working on the earthtone pallette and wanted to isolate it here. The visual power of grey is often underestimated.

TWILIGHT

#925 (Twilight)

Final piece of the 2009 season. 25 pieces completed.

Glue paintings are seasonal, because warm temperatures are required for the process.

Generally, the active glue season lasts from late April to early November, with down time for research in between.
